The Kitchen Furniture Association (AMC) organized a trip to Häfele’s headquarters in Nagold, Germany. Several member companies from different sectors represented in AMC joined the visit. Representing LivingPino were Jesús Hurtado and Antonio Navarro.
Nagold has been Häfele’s home since its foundation more than a century ago, and today the company remains in the hands of the founding family, now in its third generation. During the visit, Ulrich Häfele, the company’s Account Manager, welcomed the Spanish delegation and shared an in-depth overview of Häfele’s history, the family values that have guided the company since the very beginning, and its latest innovations.
Under the company’s motto, “Maximizing the value of space. Together,” attendees took part in various activities designed to explore in depth the latest trends in the sector and the opportunities arising from today’s dynamic lifestyles, with increasing demands for functionality.
The importance of lighting in kitchen furniture
One of the highlights of the visit was lighting—an essential element in modern interiors. AMC companies had the opportunity to dive deeper into its role in kitchen design, not only as an aesthetic resource but also as a factor that influences space perception and atmosphere creation.
In this context, it was highlighted how lighting in kitchen furniture not only creates new work areas but also impacts the choice of materials and finishes. A presentation on color temperature and its effects generated great interest among attendees.
At Häfele’s “BlackBox” lighting laboratory, the multi-white lighting system took center stage. This innovative system allows the color temperature to be adjusted flexibly, without having to decide it in advance. Its interaction with different kitchen materials was also explored, analyzing how each combination influences the perception of space.
Attendees also experienced the relevance of lighting within the kitchen space itself. The possibility of synchronizing all the technology into a single system, easily adaptable to user preferences, not only reinforces aesthetic and design trends but also contributes to health and well-being by helping regulate the circadian rhythm.
Other activities of AMC’s trip to Häfele
The program also included a tour of Häfele’s Logistics Center and a first-hand look at its expansion project, which will enable further optimization of industrial supply.
The trip concluded with a guided tour of Leicht’s kitchen factory, where visitors were impressed by its advanced automated production and assembly system.
