Kitchens for Levantina’s Stone Center in Barcelona
Location: L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona, Spain)
Kitchen and interior design project: onside | arquitectura
Showroom area: 145 m²
Located in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Levantina’s Stone Center in Barcelona offers a different way to engage with materials for the home. Here, natural stone and sintered stone surfaces are presented in a setting closer to a real home, making it easier for visitors to imagine how they could work in a real project.
For the areas dedicated to the kitchen, Levantina and the onside | arquitectura studio entrusted Pino with designing and manufacturing the furniture sets that make up this part of the display.
Kitchens designed to put materials into context
In a materials showroom, furniture serves a purpose that goes beyond aesthetics. The kitchens act as a support to showcase the possibilities of each surface and help visitors understand how different materials perform when integrated into a complete space.
The two sets combine different Levantina finishes with Pino furniture in walnut and natural oak. A range of compositions that showcases different ways to combine worktops, fronts and furniture within a kitchen project.
Two sets to showcase different ways of thinking about the kitchen
The display area brings together two compositions that explore different combinations of materials and solutions. These are linear sets with a sink area and integrated appliances, plus two large islands that concentrate the working functions and become the focal point of the space.
Materials include Naturamia® Aquabella Vintage and Perla Venata Vintage worktops and fronts, Techlam® Countertop surfaces in Marvel Gold, Concerto and Basic Ice, and different Pino furniture finishes.
This variety clearly demonstrates how the same kitchen can take on very different personalities depending on the choice of materials, colours and finishes.
A real-scale experience for choosing your worktop
One of the islands features Creative Kitchen, an interactive experience that lets visitors visualise, at real scale, how the selected material would look as a kitchen worktop. The aim is to make material selection more tangible: visitors can see how the surface works within a kitchen composition and gain a clearer idea of the final result before applying it to their own project.
On this island, Pino furniture in matte white and the Techlam® Countertop Basic Ice Satin worktop create a neutral base on which the material becomes the focal point.
A project in which kitchen furniture is placed at the service of the display to help discover, compare and visualise the possibilities of Levantina materials.
